When I’m not at work, I love enjoying the outdoors. I delight in walking on the beach, fishing, ATV tours, sunsets, campfires, boating, swimming at the lake, camping, and exploring greenhouses. My name is Jamie Sweetland, and I am a registered primary care Nurse Practitioner (NP) and certified advanced injector. I graduated from Athabasca University in 2021 with a master’s degree in nursing and shortly after completed both basic and advanced injecting training through the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics (CAMA). My nursing background includes emergency medicine, community health nursing, wound care/skin and lesion assessment, mental health, and general med/surg. As a current faculty member with CAMA, I teach both basic and advanced injecting techniques to new nurse injectors on a quarterly basis. I work full-time as a primary care NP with Nova Scotia Health Authority while maintaining my part-time injecting practice here at RE/GENERATE Day Spa. Additionally, I serve as a medical director to several nurse injectors across Nova Scotia, providing guidance, oversight, and prescribing authority to their injecting practices.

At RE/GENERATE Day Spa, I offer both cosmetic and medical Botox injections for wrinkle prevention and relaxation, hyperhidrosis, migraines, TMJ dysfunction/jaw and teeth clenching, as well as dermal filler injections for facial balancing and volume restoration. Regardless of the service I provide, my main goals are client safety, maintaining a natural look, and prioritizing client education and mutual decision-making when developing a treatment plan. I focus on involving clients in their plan of care, which includes reviewing anatomy, explaining why I am injecting certain areas, discussing injection techniques, product choices, client goals, expectations for before, during, and after each procedure, and cost/budget planning.

Skin care is also a special interest of mine, including acne management, anti-aging, and concerns related to skin quality, texture, and pigmentation. I may recommend other treatment modalities offered at the spa, such as medical-grade chemical peels or microneedling, if I believe these services would complement your goals and plan of care.
